THE NCI EUROPEAN CERTIFICATE FOR THE TREATMENT OF PAINFUL DYSFUNCTIONS IN RHEUMATOLOGY AND SPORTS MICROTRAUMA
The NCI goes further than that. In association with the PARIS V Faculty of Medicine the Institute organises the only degree-awarding European Certificate in Chiropodial Orthopaedics after the State Diploma.
This adapted certificate provides access to a new concept of biomechanical treatment of a high technical nature. It concerns real pedal orthopaedic therapy applicable in rheumatology, orthopaedic diseases and sports chiropody. Defects in the osteoarticular movement trajectory and the distribution of effort transmitted in bone and muscle chains are corrected.
Through corrective orthotic treatment of the foot at each step, it is now possible to reliably treat and trace painful joint and musculoskeletal dysfunctions: knee, hip and spine. Here are a few examples of the indications for this new treatment; osteoarthritis of the knee and prosthetic hip, chronic lumbago, sciatica and cruralgia, and in athletes, pubalgia, compartment syndromes, chronic meniscal pain and trochanteric tenobursitis. Optimising the performance of runners, the technical movements of football players, basketball players and tennis players by correcting weight-bearing are also among the indications.
We treat all these diseases and many more on a daily basis at the NCI, with the latest generation of plantar orthoses. These treatments are for everyone: children, adults, the elderly, and athletes of all levels. The NCI thereby offers students who so desire, the possibility to envision the European Chiropody of tomorrow, enabling them to have a distinctive practice and to make a mark as soon as they start their professional lives.
